Then the pastor got up and spoke about the shortness of our lives and how any moment we could meet death and be instantly ushered into the presence of Jesus. My mind said, "huh?" Which way do they go? Do they die and go to be with the Lord? Or wait in the ground until the resurrection? Seems funny if they don't need their bodies for however long they're dead, it's a silly thing to come back and get those old moldy ones out of the ground...
That's the kind of double talk that confuses people when it comes to Scripture. People have built their faith on fables and traditions that don't hold up when you compare scripture with scripture. God does not dwell in confusion, and He wants us to know what the truth us.
